I'm a sports massage therapist based at the Glasgow Treatment Rooms in Glasgow City Centre. I help people like you move better and feel better so you can get on with living your best life.
Sports massage can help you if you:
Does this sound like you?
Your treatment is always designed to get the best results possible.
I'll spend some time at the start of the treatment warming up the muscle tissue, building up the pressure as we go. Then using slow and controlled remedial techniques such as myofascial stripping and Trigger Point Therapy I'll work deep into the muscle tissue. You may find this deeper work uncomfortable depending on the injury and level of tension in the muscle. We'll always work within your pressure comfort zone to deliver a therapeutic treatment.
I may also use facilitated stretching and passive joint movements as a finisher. These are gentle movements that help to increase flexibility and mobility in the joints.
At the end of the session you'll be feeling better and moving better!
I always enjoy a bit of banter with my clients and am happy to answer any questions you may have. I offer practical advice and tips you can apply to your daily life to help prevent recurring pain and mobility issues.
"As a keen cyclist and runner I lived with legs that ached all the time. The difference between how they felt before I visited Laura and after was amazing - it was literally the first time I had felt no ache in years! I now use her before all my major events."
"I went to Laura with a lot of pain and stiffness in my shoulders and neck. After just one massage my pain had reduced significantly and range of movement was much improved. Laura was very warm and put me at ease straight away. I also loved the music she played, very relaxing! Thank you Laura."
"I went to Laura with a long standing shoulder problem from Ju Jitsu. The massage worked very well in relieving tension after one session. I noticed an immediate decrease in pain in the affected area and it has been much better since."
